Creature Commons Counseling by Lish Montesa

Lish Montesa owns Creature Commons Counseling and is a LPC-Associate, supervised by Monica McClain, LPC-S. She specializes in supporting teens, college students, and young adults managing anxiety, depression, social pressure, and trauma, as well as substance use and addiction.  As a parent herself, she also enjoys connecting with parents of clients throughout their counseling journeys. She offers in-person, online, and horse-assisted therapy options. Equine sessions take place at Inspiration Ranch in Magnolia. Lish has had experiences at a Betty Ford outpatient center, a private practice, a community health agency and shelter, as well as on career counseling and student life teams at several universities. She tends to lean into trauma-informed CBT, DBT, ACT, and Family Systems counseling approaches. Depending on client interests, Lish enjoys incorporating art, music, writing, and other creative activities into sessions. She has been described as genuine, relatable, and a true client advocate.
